Raise Your Hand If You Love Chili Mac!

Busy weeknights call for quick meals. I have combed over all my recipe books time and time again and recently I came on this one that my Great-Grandma had hand-written many years ago. It looked fairly simple and it sounded delicious. One night, when I got home from work, I checked the calendar and saw that my son had basketball practice in just a couple of hours. I figured that it was the perfect time to try this meal out. It was done really quickly and we sat down to the table.

That was the first time in a long time that we didn’t have to inhale our meal and get up and leave right away. It was done so fast that we actually had time to sit around and visit for a bit before hitting the road again.

I even had time to do up the dishes! It was nice to go sit at practice knowing that there wasn’t a sink full of dirty dishes to do when I got home. It was even nicer to reflect on the time I actually got to spend with my family. The recipe was like this one from Spend with Pennies. I highly recommend you give it a try!
