Nostalgic Chicken Noodle Soup On A Cool day

In our family, we appreciate simple good soup, so everyone knows how to make at least one good soup. This chicken noodle soup recipe is everyone’s favorite, not only because it’s simple, but also because it’s bursting with flavors that remind us all of reunions in our grandparents’ house. We love to eat this with bread fresh from the oven.

One of our friends from Taste of Home has this to say about this recipe:

“A good friend made us this rich, comforting soup after the birth of our son. It was such a help to have dinner taken care of until I was back on my feet. This yummy dish is so simple to fix that now I give a pot of it (along with the recipe) to other new mothers.”

It’s a soup that can also be a full meal. And it’s easy to put together! You don’t even have to worry about not having enough time. Such a type of meal is so convenient that you get to enjoy one hearty meal without the hassle.

where does the carrots and peas come into this recipe. Not in your ingredient list?? you always show pictures that obviously differ to your recipes

I was wondering about the carrots, I don’t see them in list of ingredients. Also is this the correct picture for this recipe. This looks like clear broth where as the ingredients last cream of chicken and sour cream which would make the both creamy not clear. Thank you

There are carrots and celery in that soup that aren’t included in the recipe. My chicken soup isn’t quite that quick to make; but, OMG, is it ever delicious! Whenever I bring it anywhere (usually eight quarts) there are never any leftovers! No shortcuts for this mom! Real chicken stock, homemade; lots of veggies; no canned soup allowed! I also cook my pasta separately and add it to the finished soup, so it’s never mushy. Yum!!
