No More Plain Ol’ Sandwiches For Dinner!

Yep, think of cinnamon rolls, but instead of cinnamon sugar in the middle glazed with sugariness, it is ham and cheese in that roll up and they are glazed with some garlic butter.  These are so amazing and versatile! We have added olives, raisins and other veggies.  We have had these as a main dish, served them with soup, or served them to friends as an appetizer.

We have switched up the cold cuts, and drizzle over the top.  Every single time, they have turned out great! Check out what our friends over at High Heels and Grills had to say about this:

“These Baked Ham and Cheese Rollups, are an easy appetizer or dinner recipe that tend to always be a crowd favorite. They are made with crescent dough, Boar’s Head SmokeMaster™ Black Forest Ham, and swiss cheese, then topped with a delicious mustard glaze.”

See what I mean? You can change these up so much and they are always great!

Ingredients

1 tube Pillsbury crescent dough sheet

¾ lb. Boar’s Head SmokeMaster™ Black Forest Ham, thinly sliced

12 slices Kraft swiss cheese, thinly sliced

½ cup Land O’ Lakes butter, melted {I use salted}

1 Tbsp. poppyseeds

1 & ½ Tbsp. yellow mustard

1 Tbsp. dried minced onion

½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Roll out your crescent dough and and press into an approximately 13×18 inch rectangle. Top with ham and cheese.

Starting on the long side, roll the dough up tightly. Pinch the ends together and place with the seam facing down. Cut into 12 pieces.

Place your rollups in your baking dish, evenly spaced.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the butter, poppyseeds, mustard, onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the sauce evenly over the rollups.

Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes until lightly browned.

My husband and I love PLAIN OLD SANDWICHES! My husband is the cook at our house but even he wouldn’t want to go to this much trouble just to make a sandwich.
