Mom’s Five-Minute Shrimp Remind Me Of The Comforts Of Home

 

Anyone here who likes easy meals? The ones that you can prepare in less than thirty minutes? Me! And I know you like them, too. How convenient is it to have a dish that you can transform to something delish in just five minutes? My goodness, that’s like magic, right there in your own kitchen! A magic that everyone’s stomachs will get to appreciate.

The moment I came across this recipe, I felt like dancing literally. So my Mom had a version of this when I was a kid, but Moms are superheroes whose secret ingredients you can never ever fathom. At least this recipe allows me to make the same dish with almost similar taste without the hassle of guessing the secret ingredients that make this dish so darn delicious.

 

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Bertolli olive oil

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, with tails on

1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seafood seasoning

1/4 teaspoon McCormick black pepper

2 teaspoons peeled fresh grated ginger (see quick tip)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

3 tablespoons Kerrygold butter

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

 

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, pepper, and ginger. Cook 2 to 4 minutes, or until shrimp are just pink.

Stir in lemon juice, butter, and parsley; mix well. Serve immediately.

Quick Tip: Don’t have any fresh ginger on hand? No problem! You can substitute with a 1/2 teaspoon of dried, ground ginger.
