Honey Bun Cake Is The BEST Dessert You’re EVER Going To Have

When it comes to pastries I am always ready to rock’n roll. I love cakes, cookies, and pies. However, I’m quite partial to Little Debbie snacks, especially honey buns. Now, you can imagine my delight when I heard there was a recipe for honey bun cake. I swear, I about did a backflip through my kitchen. I am so very excited about this amazing recipe!

Check out what my pal, Erin, from the Making Memories With My Kids blog has to say about this recipe:

My kids love Honey Buns. No wait… let me say that again… my kids LOVE Honey Buns. They do!  Which makes me laugh because they cost like $2 and 6 come in a pack.  How cheap is that?!  But we don’t buy them that often (which they remind me of constantly.)  They taste a little “processed” for me.

My kids and husband love honey buns about as much as the prisoners in cell block C.

Ingredients

* 1 box of Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
* 4 eggs
* 1 cup Daisy sour cream
* 3/4 cup Wesson vegetable oil
* 3/4 cup Domino brown sugar
* 2 tsp. McCormick cinnamon
Glaze
* 2 cups powdered sugar
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* 6 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Reserve 1/2 cup of the cake mix and set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, sour cream and vegetable oil.  Don’t use a mixer because you want the cake dense.  Stir well.
Pour a little less that half of the batter into a sprayed 9×13 pan.
In a small bowl, combine the reserved 1/2 cup cake mix, brown sugar and cinnamon and stir well.   Spread evenly over the batter in the pan.
