Country Kitchen Mac ‘n’ Cheese Made Easy By Sir Slow Cooker

Ok, by a raise of hands, who here loved macaroni and cheese as a kid? Who still loves it as an adult? I bet there aren’t any hands left on the keyboard right now 🙂 My mother had all sorts of recipes for macaroni and cheese including baked and stove top varieties. My siblings and I loved them all. One way my mom never did make her mac and cheese was in the crock pot. I bet it would have saved that sweet lady a lot of time.

So, you might be thinking that if you make macaroni and cheese in the slow cooker it will come out all mushy and gross. This is definitely not true. For one, you do not need to boil the pasta prior to making this yummy stuff in the crock pot. I think this largely contributes to why the noodles stay firm.

Mr. Food is responsible for this amazing little gem of a recipe. On his website you will even find a handy how-to video to watch! And get this, this recipe calls for ham. ham! Who doesn’t like ham?

Quick tip: Feel free to use any type of pasta that you want in this recipe. I have also experimented with tossing in bacon bits. Yum!
