Best Chicken Recipes, #1
Pop one of these into your mouth – you won’t be able to stop! The best part about this chicken popper recipe is that the actual chicken is not spicy; it’s all in the sauce, so if you’re not a fan of spicy dishes you can just make these chicken poppers and serve them with any sauce you like!
However, I would highly recommend giving that sauce a try! You can adjust the amount of chipotle powder, and the honey also brings enough sweetness to cut down the spiciness a little bit. I’m not a huge fan of super spicy foods so I added about half the amount of chipotle powder. I thought it was delicious!
Ingredients
5 chicken tenderloins, cubed
Sauce:
2/3 cup honey
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
1-2 tsp chipotle powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp white vinegar
Egg mixture:
1 Eggland’s egg, beaten
1/2 cup McArthur milk
Breading:
1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Gold Medal flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/4 tsp McCormick garlic powder
1/4 tsp McCormick onion powder
1/4 tsp dried basil
Instructions:
Line a plate with paper towels for the chicken after it’s done cooking in the oil. Set aside.
Combine all the sauce ingredients, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and keep stirring to mix. Turn off the heat and set aside.
In a small, shallow dish, combine the egg and milk. Set aside.
In a separate dish, combine the ingredients for the breading. Set aside.
Coat the chicken cubes in the bread mixture then the egg wash then back in the breading. Put the coated chicken cubes on a plate.
Refrigerate for about 20 minutes to help the breading stick to the chicken.
In a large skillet, add a thin layer of vegetable oil and place over medium high heat.
Once the oil is glistening, add in the chicken and cook the until it’s cooked through. Don’t overcrowd the skillet or the chicken will turn out oily! You want the breading nice and crispy brown. Work in 2 or 3 batches.
Once the first batch is done, put the cooked chicken on the prepared plate with the paper towel. Continue with the second batch and once that’s cooked, add that to the prepared plate.
When all the chicken cubes are cooked, put them in a large bowl and pour the sauce all over.

It would be so nice if you would give a name for the recipes that you put out. They are always delicious but what do you call them? I read and read every word that you print about the clap trap that you print to try to figure what to call these recipes but to no avail! Why do you do this?
