Kids across the nation will be running to the dinner table when mama makes this.
Honestly, I’d run a marathon to get my mitts on a shepherd’s pie like this. The mashed potatoes are so fluffy and the ground beef so beefy. Yummo! Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had shepherd’s pie before but I’ve never had it made quite like this. My mama used to put her shepherd’s pie in an actual pie tin and this recipe calls for a 9×13 baking dish. You get quite a large batch of the stuff and that’s fine with me.
As far as complexity goes this recipe for shepherd’s pie is very simple to make. If you can brown some beef, whip up some mashed taters, and layer it all together you can make this wonderful recipe.
