Bask In The Beauty Of Bacon Tater Tot Casserole…Just Don’t Forget To Eat It

This tater tot casserole is golden, greasy, delicious layers of tater tots, cheese, eggs, and bacon.  It is the perfect breakfast food to put in a sandwich or eat off a plate.  There are so many things you can do to this dish to switch it up and personalize it for your family! I have done all of the above with this dish and it always turns out amazingly!  At a potluck, everyone enjoyed it and then at a tailgate, it was wonderful because it is a filling dish all made with one recipe, so no need to carry around multiple types of foods!

Ingredients

1-1/2 pounds ground beef

1 (3-oz) package real bacon bits

2 cups shredded Kraft cheddar cheese

1 (32-oz) package Ore-Ida frozen tater tots

1 (10.75-oz) can Campbell’s condensed cheddar cheese soup

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Cook ground beef in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain fat.

In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, tater tots, cheese soup and sour cream. Mix until throughly combined.

Spread mixture into prepared pan.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until bubbly.

The breakfast tater tot casserole does not list sour cream as an ingredient, but in the directions it says to mix sour cream with the rest of the ingredients. How much sour cream are you supposed to put in??
