You’ll Never Need Another Recipe For Potato Soup Again

Just The Way My Nana Always Made This!

My grandmother used to spend all the summers in a little cabin in the countryside. It was my mother’s childhood home and my grandparents kept it even after moving to the city after they retired. Sounds kind of funny, doesn’t it? People usually retire to move to the peace and quiet of the countryside. However, my grandparents had worked in the countryside all their lives, so they wanted to get closer to all the amenities, shops and cafes.

Anyway, they still always went back to the cabin for the summer, and my grandma continued to do so even after my grandfather had passed. For us kids, it was such an awesome place to visit. There were no roads or other dangerous places around, so we could run and play outside freely as much as we wanted.

Of course, grandma would also make us the most delicious meals that we would often eat outside in the garden. She had a small, white table with decorative chairs, and I always felt like a princess when dining there. This soup was one of grandma’s staples – and one of my absolute favorites!

Quick Tip: Make a double batch; this soup only gets better after a day in the fridge!
