Twister Peppered Bacon Treats!

These are actually pretty filling little snacks. If you are making them for breakfast, you might want to serve them with a piece of fruit or maybe oatmeal…at least that’s what I do… try to throw something healthy in the mix. Even my picky 4-year-old loves these things…and I can never get her to eat meat of any kind. She dips hers in ketchup…like most little kids do. I wouldn’t recommend that but hey, you never know until you try it! Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Group Recipes:

These are a fun weekend breakfast and even a quick weekday on-the-go meal.

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup packed Domino brown sugar

1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1 can refrigerated 11 ounces Pillsbury cornbread twists (bought next to biscuits in store)

8 slices of any ready to serve bacon heated as directed on pkg

 

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees f.

mix brown sugar ,pepper in shallow pan dish, set aside

unroll corn twists dough, separate into 8 long strips; press perforations together in each strip to seal, top each dough strip with bacon slice. and to sugar and pepper mixture turning and coating it all over, then twist topped dough strips slightly, then place on greased baking sheet

bake 11 to 13 min or until lightly brown , don’t over cook them lightly brown.
