Tired Mom Three Bean Salad – Quick And Easy Recipe!

Do you like beans? I certainly do! I especially enjoy them in a cold salad such as the following recipe details. The tangy sauce is my favorite part as it coats the three beans nicely. I can easily whip this side dish up when I’m pressed for time as it does most of the “cooking” in the refrigerator. It’s the ideal picnic or potluck dish to pass. My mother would make this same salad for the family when I was growing up. I loved it then and I love it now 🙂

Sounds just like a church potluck.

Ingredients

1 can Green Giant green beans, drained

1 can yellow (or wax) beans, drained

1 can kidney beans, drained

1/2 small onion, sliced thin and separated into rings

1/4 cup green pepper, cut in 1/2″ chunks

1 cup Kraft Italian salad dressing (the easy option)

Or for a more authentic Amish flavor, make this dressing:
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients and refrigerate for at least 90 minutes. Drain the excess salad dressing before serving.
