Hold On To Your Hats Because This Cake Is Not Like Any You’ve Ever Seen Before!
What better way to make an impression on your special dinner guests, than a wonderful, jaw-dropping dessert to top off a great meal! This chocolate bourbon praline cake really brings you a taste of the South – the flavor is beautifully rich, yet the texture is nice and soft.
I can’t call myself a true Southerner since my parents moved North way before I was even born. However, my grandmother was as Southern as it gets, and she always used to say ”We Southerners like our bourbon whiskey!” I guess that’s why she was always a fan of these cakes with bourbon in them – and even though this isn’t grandma’s recipe, I just know she would approve!
This recipe takes some effort to make, but it turns out so mindblowing that I just have to make it for every special occasion. If I didn’t make this over the holidays, my family would probably think I’ve lost my mind! It’s definitely a staple in our holiday dessert menu, but sometimes I make it ”just because” on a regular weekday, to surprise my family.
