Tear Up The Town With These Butter Tart Cookie Squares

A few weeks ago I needed to bring a mass quantity of dessert to a meeting we were having up at the Fire Hall.

Now, for those who are unfamiliar as to what a Fire Hall is, it’s essentially the fire station aka place-where-everyone-holds-their-events. Not only does the town Fire Hall house our 2 amazing fire trucks but it also serves as a lovely place to hold a wedding reception or baby shower.

Anyway, our small town of about 410 people were getting ready to gather and discuss/vote on a few different proposals. My husband and I, as well as a handful of other citizens, had some pressing matters to propose about the baseball field and equipment. I was also in charge of bringing a dessert.

Even though I live in a very, very small town, feeding upwards of 150 people is quite a task! I mean, even though I’d like to, there would be no way for me to make that many pies or cakes. I’d be in the kitchen for 2-days straight!

So, I found this delicious recipe for butter tart squares on one of my favorite websites and decided to make them. You see, this recipe makes quite a bit and all I needed was two industrial-sized cookie sheets full. Everyone loved them! Oh, and the kids got their new baseball equipment 🙂
