Tom was one of my nephews. The quiet one, remember?
I haven’t seen him for a while now because everyone was just too busy to meet up, but when I did, his mom, my cousin had a lot of stories about him. She said that recently, Tom just received and award for his academic performance. He was also getting better in basketball and he planned on trying out for the team once he’s older. So overall, Tom was doing great. Even his personality has improved. He’s more talkative now and a little bit more active. He also smiles more now.
Tom also seemed to find another hobby. My cousin said that every week, the children in their neighborhood often go for a picnic by the lake. Tom always wanted to go so she allowed him. Tom has finally gained some friends and that’s what’s matters to my cousin. Just recently, Tom has even helped her prepare food for the picnic. They’re all required to bring something that they could share with the others.
My cousin prepared ham sliders for the group and Tom helped her. When Tom came back from the picnic, the basket was empty. And there was also a huge smile on his face that didn’t seem to fade for days.
