Spicy Shrimp Fettuccine Will Have You Saying, “Wowee!”

I have always wanted a dog. The problem is that I am too busy to take care of one. It will just make me feel guilty if I don’t get to take proper care of it because I am too focused on my work. One weekend, I was granted the privilege to take care of a dog. One of my friends had to leave for a family emergency and her mom was allergic to dogs.

She needed someone who would feed her puppy and I was the only one near enough and reliable enough. She left me a list of what I should do and left in a hurry. I was left with the heaviest dog in my hand.

A puppy, actually. It was a Chow Chow. Oh my goodness, it was so adorable! It looked like a mini teddy bear.

I decided right then that if I would get a dog, I’ll get a Chow Chow. It was so behaved. I mean all it ever did was to rest near my feet.

It’s not one of those playful puppies that needed someone to play with all the time. In fact, the Chow Chow reminded me of me. It did worry me though!

That night, while I was having a leftover spicy shrimp fettuccine, my phone rang. I had to answer it because for some reason, I couldn’t hear my friend from the other line. When I got back, some of my pasta and shrimp was missing.

And of course, I knew who ate it! I was panicking because I didn’t know if shrimp was bad for dogs. I immediately called my friend and thank God she answered.

It turned out it wasn’t bad for the dog as long as it’s cooked. Whew. I had to squeeze the life out of the Chow Chow for worrying me!
