Smothered Chops With Bacon Bits And The Day The Sun Refuses To Wake Up

Every time it rains and I’m safe and dry inside my home, I am in a good mood. I love it when it rains. I don’t actually mind getting wet in the rain, it’s just the hassle of cleaning after the floor and myself that I mind very much, most especially if I don’t really have the luxury of time. Whenever it rains, I crave for something to eat that’s rich and warm and savory. Something that just makes you want to keep on eating. I usually go with meat dishes. Meat tastes good with anything.

It tastes good with something salty, something sweet, something sour, or a mish mash of the tastes. It also tastes good most especially with something creamy.

A friend taught me this recipe that has always been my go-to recipe whenever it rains. It’s pork chops with creamy bacon sauce. It makes the house smell really good. It might need a bit of your effort, but it’s worth it in the end.

It’s a perfect meal for a quiet peaceful dinner with a plate of steamed vegetables and a glass of your favorite red wine on the side. If you want a similar dish, check out this recipe that I found over at Betty Crocker. It’s called smothered chops with bacon bits. Nothing will be more sinful than that!

Quick Tip: Pork loin chops are the best to use in this recipe because they’re one of the leanest parts of pork.
