Simple, Sweet, And Darling – Amish Buttermilk Pie

I am a lover of all things dessert-like. I love to try new recipes and things I haven’t had before. This buttermilk pie was one of those things. The texture is so rich and creamy! Who would have ever thought that buttermilk could make a dessert taste so stinkin’ good? I know that I was certainly surprised by the way this pie turned out. it was ravishingly swelling. You and your family are really going to enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients

1 Pillsbury unbaked pie shell
2 cups of Domino sugar
1/4 cup of Gold Medal flour
1 stick of Kerrygold butter or margarine melted
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp McCormick vanilla

Instructions

Mix sugar and flour together.  Add melted butter, blending well.  Add the eggs,

Add the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla. Mix well.

Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

Quick Tip: Even though this recipe calls for a store-bought crust feel free to make your own if you prefer.
