The Shrimp Fried Rice That Saved Me Money And My Waistline!

You know what they say sometimes about restaurant food—they’re fats in food form designed to entice you, make you addicted, until you could no longer resist and devour them. Then you would just find out how much damage they had done when you couldn’t zip the zipper of your pants easily. I love rice. Everyone who knew me knows how much I love rice. Usually, I eat rice in moderation, unless it’s fried rice.

Fried rice just makes rice even tastier and harder to resist! This shrimp fried rice recipe is something similar to the one I always order at a restaurant I love for take out. However, I’m sure that I saved myself from gaining a few pounds because this is homemade and I was able to control the recipe based on my needed calories.

Again, I’m not that much of a health freak, but a girl’s never too old to watch her waistline. It’s not just about looking good; it’s actually more about feeling better about yourself. So yes, I believe that I was able to save a few pounds and money by making this wonderful shrimp recipe at home!

Quick Tip: Frozen shrimp works just fine. And if you plan ahead, put some in the fridge in the morning before you head out and they’ll be thawed and ready to go by supper time.
