Shhhh! We Are Making Hushpuppies!

Keep quiet about these or they’ll be gone before you know it!

Hushpuppies are traditionally a southern food but I’m seriously glad this midwestern girl got to enjoy them. Yep, Michiganders love hushpuppies just as much as the folks in, oh, let’s say, Georgia do. Sinc emigrating from Michigan to Pennsylvania (I’m getting closer to the south haha!) I have made hushpuppies a number of times. I don’t know if it is because we live on the border of MD and WV or what but the folks over this way LOVE their hushpuppies.

The recipe on the next page is seriously easy to follow and renders you a nice batch of crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside hushpuppies. You are going to love it!

Quick Tip: You fry these hushpuppies in a deep pot on the stovetop or in your conventional deep fryer.
