Save The Mess With This Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

This recipe is super fast and simple, because it can be done on the stove top. You can also throw this in crock pot though. Just plan for about four to five hours on low or two to three on high. The rest of the preparation is just as simple and cleanup is a snap. You can even line your slow cooker first and you won’t even have a pan to wash! This is always a huge crowd pleaser and it’s perfect for parties and Sunday game days! Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Spend With Pennies:

“A fabulous back pocket dinner recipe for those really busy days! The sauce is extra delicious because it’s made in the same pot as the chicken!”

This is perfect for when you don’t have time to make a big fancy meal. Your family won’t say a word!

Ingredients

1.2 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless

5 tbsp unsalted Land O’ Lakes butter

½ cup Frank’s Original Red Hot Sauce

2 tbsp Domino brown sugar

½ tsp salt

1 cup Swanson chicken broth

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. The chicken may not be totally covered by liquid (once butter melts) which is fine.

Once butter is melted, adjust heat so the liquid is simmering. Cook for 50 minutes, turning once, or until chicken can be easily shredded. The sauce should be thickened but if it’s too watery, then remove the chicken and simmer until it reduces.

Shred chicken with 2 forks (I do this in the saucepan). Serve!
