Party On Slow Cooker Jambalaya

We love to have all kinds of themed parties at our house for our friends and neighbors. It gives everyone a chance to get to know one another, relax, and let their hair down. Our latest event was a Mardi Gras theme. Now, not only do I host the party, I also cook, and decorate. For this event I wanted to spend a lot of time on the look, because Mardi Gras can be so fun!

I didn’t want to waste too much time in the kitchen, but we had to have something that was traditional Mardi Gras food that tasted like I spent a lot of time on it. Thankfully, I found this recipe on All Recipes. It went in the slow cooker and I got to forget about it.

The decorations took several hours and even required an extra trip to town for more supplies! When the guests arrived, the slow cooker jambalaya aroma had taken over the house and fit in perfectly with the way I had transformed everything.

When it came time to eat, this was a melt-in-you-mouth success! We won’t be waiting for a party to try this again that’s for sure.
