Old-Fashioned Amish-Inspired Garlic Knots

Whenever we go out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, one of the things I look most forward to is the bread that gets served before the meal. They bring out a big loaf of warm and garlicy bread with a special homemade style butter that just compliments it perfectly. Sometimes I eat so much of it that by the time my meal comes I’m already full! I wanted to do something similar at home but I wanted to make it more fun…mainly for the kids.

I found this recipe on 2pots2cook and just had to give it a try. It was so simple to make, way easier than what it looks, and my little ones just loved it. Now, instead of trying to make homemade bread…which I’m not very good at…I’ll whip these up to go with our soups, chilis, and pasta dishes.

They always disappear fast! I try to find a nice butter to pair them with or we will dip them in pizza sauce and sometimes even ranch. They are fine all by themselves though too.

Quick Tip: If the dough is sticky…knead for 2 additional minutes.
