Soccer season was finally wrapping up and between you and me, I couldn’t have been happier. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my kids play the sport that they love so much. It can be overwhelming to me at times though. I am usually rushing two kids to different areas of the field at two different times. Then on game days, forget about it. Trying to watch two kids play at once isn’t just hard, it’s impossible. So, when they scheduled the end of the season picnic, I breathed a huge sigh of relief… I think some of the other moms were right there with me.
We all got together and decided what each would bring. I said I would take a dessert because that was simple for me. When we met that Saturday with all of our players to eat, there was a huge crock pot of these honey glazed crispy tenders that were so amazing. I had to seek out whomever made them. It was a dad of one of the kids on my son’s team.
I had never talked to him before, but I walked right up and asked for the recipe. He told me he found it on Spend with Pennies and pointed me in the right direction. I made them again at home the following week. They were a huge hit!
