No Dessert Is As Easy As This Apple Cobbler!

I used to call it the “weird pie”. I always watched Mom cook in our humble kitchen. She especially loved making fruit pies. It’s the only way she could get my brother to eat at least something healthy. Even with all the added sugar, she made sure she used the freshest fruits. There was this time when I thought I was about to help her make an apple pie.

I accompanied her to the market and she bought these huge apples that looked really good enough to eat. She also bought cinnamon and sugar. Never mind the other ingredients—apples and cinnamon were enough to tell me it was going to be an apple pie! I was wrong.

What kind of apple pie didn’t have a crust? It did have a crust, but it wasn’t the usual crust. This one was crumbly and loose, something that I haven’t seen in any pie.

It also looked horrible, like wet sand that was crumbled together. I remembered eyeing it with distaste the moment it was served to me. But the smell of the apples and cinnamon won me over and I tried it.

I loved it more than apple pie since that moment. I always make it at home whenever I can. Fortunately, because of this recipe that I discovered, I found out I could do it even with little time in my hands. Go check out this recipe!
