New Year Resolution Dijon Crusted Fish

We all have our New Year’s Resolutions. While it’s true that it’s quite an old idea, it’s still a norm. Most people, even though they don’t blurt it out, have New Year’s resolution. Because it’s the brand new year! It’s our chance to right our wrongs and to straighten our crooked paths. Richard is one of my youngest friends. He is a workaholic.

For such a young age, he’s working twice as hard than most of us. Sometimes, he doesn’t even get any sleep at all because his work requires him to be at different places at the same time. He gets sick at times. And whenever he does, he always gets an earful from us, his older friends.

Over a meal of his famous dijon crusted fish and roasted vegetables (we often request him to make this for us. It’s just so crispy and moist!), he told us that he has a New Year’s resolution that he really plans on doing this year.

And that’s to slow down his pace a bit. He said he realized that he wouldn’t be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor if he’s often sick. So what he did was to resign from one of his projects so he could finally have a normal schedule.

He said that even the project manager was actually quite relieved that he will finally get some hours of extra sleep. Well, Richard, thank goodness you realize that! Because health is indeed wealth!
