Yet another simple and savory recipe from our friends over at South In My Mouth. These folks truly outdo themselves when comes to sharing amazing southern recipes. Smothered pork chops are an easy dinner to whip up and they make everyone’s tummy happy. Even my picky eater teenagers enjoy this recipe. my youngest son, who is 11, always picks the mushrooms out but hey, at least he eats the meat, right?
You know what? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone eat a bowl of cream of mushroom soup, either. I mean, it actually sounds kind of gross haha! However, just as the folks at South In My Mouth stated, it turns from soup to savory sauce when added to casseroles and meat dishes.
Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops
16 ounces sliced mushrooms
2 cans Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup
2 tablespoons McCormick minced dried onion
2 teaspoons Heinz Worcestershire sauce
