Monday Night Crock Pot Rigatoni

Every summer when we go up to the cottage, this is one of the meals we make for our large group. It’s nice because it can be put together in the morning or early afternoon (depending on when we want to eat) and then we can go do other things for the day without having to worry about how everyone is going to get fed. It’s all in one pot too so there aren’t a bunch of dishes to do up after having fun outside all day. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Group Recipes:

“This dish is SO good, comfort food for sure! Its not too difficult either, and makes the house smell soooo yummy”

This is a perfect dish to make when you’re having company. Dinner is done before you even have to start getting ready.

Ingredients

4 cloves garlic

1 onion(use as much of it as desired)

1 jar(28 oz) pasta sauceshopping list

12 oz rigatoni

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 lb ground Johnsonville italian sausage

1 jar alfredo sauce

2 cups Kraft mozzarella cheese

1/2 lb Hormel pepperoni

Instructions

Cook rigatoni as directed on box
Saute onion in garlic
Add ground turkey to onion and begin to brown
Add Italian sausage to turkey and continue to brown
Drain Pasta
Fill crock pot with a layer of sauce, noodles, turkey/sausage, alfredo, cheese and pepperoni
Repeat layers.
Cook on low about 5 hours. This time kind of depends on your crock pot, however since everything is already cooked the purpose is really just to marinade all the flavors together, cook the pepperonis a little and melt the cheese.
