Mom’s Easy Calzones And Friend Requests

When friends visit me (those that warn me beforehand, that they will come and disturb my peaceful life), I give them a delicious reward. Reward meaning I will accept any request for food as long as I know how to make it. One of the most requested food from me is definitely pizza. My mom had taught me a pizza dough recipe that is perfect for all types of toppings so it’s always a hit.

One time though, a friend of mine asked for calzones and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t even notice I said yes. It was a good thing Mom was a phone call away and told me that calzone is pizza, except it’s “folded” to hide the surprise inside.

I used mom’s special dough to make it. She was “on speaker” the whole time because I didn’t want to do it wrong! The first batch was a bit crispy, which was okay if you like the “crispy” thing, but I was more of the chewy pizza fan so I had to make a new batch.

It was a good thing I had plenty of time. The second batch was better. They tasted just as moist and chewy even when I reheated them a couple of hours later when my friend and a couple of her companions finally arrived.

This recipe that I discovered over at Mr. Food will show you a really easy calzone recipe, which is perfect if you need something easy and tasty to serve to your guests.
