Mama Ruth’s Easy Cheesy Chicken Tetrazzini

Growing up in a small town, we had a neighborhood with lots of trust, and lots of kids! It was great for me because there was always someone to play with. Six kids could be tied up with homework, sports, or chores at home, but I could always find someone to enjoy some fresh air with. That’s how I met my friend Janet. She was quiet, not really into the whole big crowd of kids.

So one day, I was aimlessly riding my bike around alone when she finally came up to me. We instantly became best friends. One night, she invited me for dinner.

That was when I had the most amazing tetrazzini of my life. In fact, it was the only time I had eaten tetrazzini. Her mom, Ruth, was a great cook.

After that meal, I always wanted to eat at their house hoping we would have this again. We did a few times and it was always just as good as the first time. I found a recipe on All Recipes that looked similar so I tried it out.

It was great! My family gobbled it right up. It’s fun to make this old-style dish with new ideas in my kitchen now that I’m the Mama!
