This is one recipe I’ll be making again and again. Yummo!

Who knew Red Velvet was so good?!?! I had no idea. (Where have I been?!?!) It wasn’t until we made our Red Velvet Cheesecake Bars that discovered this treat. Now I’m hooked.

did someone just say red velvet cheesecake bars? Please oh please point me in their direction! Erin, the owner and operator of the Making Memories With Your Kids blog, came up with this wonderful recipe for red velvet pound cake. Erin, we thank you from the bottom of our cheery little hearts! This pound cake is superb and PERFECT for Valentine’s day parties.

Ingredients

* 1 box of Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix
* 1 box Jello instant pudding mix – white chocolate
* 4 eggs
* 1 1/4 cups water
* 1/2 cups Wesson oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix the ingredients in a large bowl for about 2 minutes. Pour into prepared pans (sprayed with flour cooking spray.)
I used 2 loaf pans but you could use a bundt pan.
Bake for 55 – 80 minutes depending on your pan. When I make a pound cake in a bundt pan, I cook it for almost 90 minutes. In a loaf pan, I cooked these for 60 minutes.
Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes and then turn onto a wire rack to cool completely.
