Let’s Get Spammed And Make This Vintage Sandwich Spread!

5 delicious vintage recipes spam salad

Spam salad spread is one of those recipes that you need to know how to make, especially if you are feeding an older generation.

Deviled ham sad, as my granny used to call it, is one of her fave things to it. Grandma said she grew up on the stuff. I’ve seen this recipe made in many different ways such as folks using hot dog and bologna as the “ham”. Spam is a great ingredient because it is perfectly salted and very accessible at your local grocery store. My grandma would often use hot dogs, herself.

Do any of you have any stories about the things you used to eat when you were a kid? Perhaps, some of you grew up on Spam salad spread. I didn’t, but my grandma would sometimes make it for me and I’d promptly request a peanut butter and jelly. LOL

I’m so glad that our taste buds change as we get older or else I’d really be missing out on something mighty tasty. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do 🙂
