I’m Saying “Yes, Please” To This Disney Treat!

What is a good cup of hot cocoa you may ask? Well, In my opinion it is steamed, really piping hot, thick milk, a heavy dose of chocolate, the perfectly sweet balance, and a dollop of whipped cream on top (maybe with some marshmallows and chocolate shavings, too!).  Well, with this recipe, you can have that.  It is the perfect balance of flavors, the milk is the perfect thickness and it is so delicious, you would not believe it!

Try it and you will see what I mean! Check out what our friends over at Six Sister’s Stuff had to say about these,

“I’m dreaming of this pricey hot chocolate while 9 months pregnant, but there’s no way I am going to Disneyland anytime soon! I decided to make some of my own from the comfort of my own kitchen. It was definitely worth the trip to the grocery store, even in my state.”

Oh my, this must be good! For a pregnant lady to approve, you know it has to be fabulous! Do not wait any longer, get to the supermarket, pick up these ingredients, and get cooking!

Ingredients

1 cup McArthur milk

1/2 cup Land O’ Lakes heavy whipping cream

1 1/2 cups Hershey’s cocoa powder

1 tablespoon Domino granulated sugar

1 tablespoon Hershey’s milk chocolate, grated

1 14-oz can La Lechera sweetened condensed milk

1/8 teaspoon McCormick vanilla extract

whipped cream for topping

ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions

In a medium sauce pan, pour milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium-high heat (be sure to watch it carefully – you don’t want it to boil or scald!).

In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa, sugar and milk chocolate. Slowly add this dry mixture to the milk mixture until completely combined. Reduce heat to medium.

Add in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla, and stir until completely combined. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and serve in individual mugs. Top with whipped cream, ground cinnamon, and additional chocolate shavings, if desired.
