I absolutely love hot chocolate! My mom made my sisters and I hot cocoa when were little. I can remember getting off the bus after school on a blustery winter day in Michigan and my mom had 5 little mugs of hot cocoa complete with marshmallows waiting for us on the table. She may have had a few homemade cookies waiting there, too. Such a sweet memory!
Check out what my pals over at Beryl’s Kitchen had to say about this:
A warm, comforting cup of hot cocoa made with everyone’s favorite chocolate hazelnut spread. It also has hints of cinnamon and a little added cocoa powder.
Such a delicious drink to sip on while you sit with loved ones and look at the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree.
Ingredients
4 Tablespoons Chocolate Hazelnut Spread (we used Nutella)
16 Ounces Coconut or Whole Milk (we used coconut milk)
1/2 Teaspoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (we used Nestle)
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (plus a little extra for garnish)
Instructions
First, in a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate hazelnut spread, milk, cocoa powder, and ground cinnamon.
Next, heat the mixture over medium heat for about five to seven minutes. Stir constantly to make sure all the ingredients blend. Let the hot cocoa begin to steam.
Last, carefully pour the hot cocoa into four-ounce cups and serve. You can garnish it with ground cinnamon, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or anything you like.

Quick Tip: Add a dollop of whipped cream sprinkled with nutmeg to the top of your cocoa.
