Ever since I’ve been a little child I have always loved peanut butter.
My mom would make me peanut butter sandwiches and never put any jelly or honey on the bread, just plain old bread and peanut butter. I always loved it!
I also remember my mom making a very special peanut butter cake for church functions and holidays. This peanut butter cake was so decadent and good! From what I can recall, this cake was quite simple to make, too. I’m sure that made my mom happy as she had 5 kids running around.
I came across this recipe for peanut butter cake with peanut butter and cream cheese frosting and thought that it looked very good. So, I gathered up my ingredients and started baking. Boy oh boy, am I ever glad that I did because this cake is phenomenal and reminds me of my mothers.
