I don’t know if it’s unusual or not, but I love broccoli! I remember when I was growing up, I hardly ever got it unless we were at a family dinner or potluck of some kind where someone else had brought it. You see, I was the only person in my family that liked it, so it didn’t usually make the grocery list. Once in a blue moon my mother would pick it up if it was on sale but that’s about.
I didn’t want to go through the same thing with my own family, so I was sure to introduce vegetables to my kids as soon as I could. They liked a lot of them, but I didn’t have much luck with broccoli.
When I made this recipe from All Recipes, it was a completely different story. They couldn’t get enough of it! I was so happy to see my little ones scarfing down one of my favorite foods.
The dish was so comforting, filling, and one of the easiest I’ve ever made. Plated up with some garlic bread and a tossed salad, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner.
