Hallelujah Harvest Bread Brings Revival To The Dessert Table

If you’re looking for a hearty harvest bread that really sticks to your ribs might I suggest that you give this little gem a try? It’s loaded with all the flavors of fall and then some. From chunky apples to cranberries and pumpkin I just can’t get enough of this bread! I like to nosh on this sort of thing in the morning because it’s hearty and really helps fuel me for the rest of the day.

Check out what my friend over at Bless Us O Lord had to say about this marvelous recipe:

This is hands-down the best pumpkin bread ever — if you like “chunks.” Most adults don’t have texture issues like kids do, but if you do, you won’t like this one. It’s really chunky.

I LOVE this bread but my middle son did say he didn’t care for all the texture. Oh well, more for me 🙂

Ingredients

3½ cups Gold Medal flour
1 t. Morton salt
2 t. McCormick cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
½ t. baking powder
¾ cup Kerrygold butter, softened
2 cups Domino sugar
3 eggs
16 oz. can pumpkin (2 cups)
1 cup chopped cranraisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tart apple, chopped

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda and powder.
In separate bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add pumpkin alternately with flour mixture.
