In our family, Uncle Ben is the King of the Grill. But when it comes to my friends, it’s actually the Queen of the Grill. Geneva. We call her the “Master of the Grill”. She doesn’t cook meat a lot like Uncle Ben. Uncle Ben looks scary when he grills really huge slabs of meat in his grill. Geneva mostly grills skewers, sausages, burgers, and hotdogs. However, she truly grills them just right, which is why we gave her that title.
During our last barbecue party in her house, she served us shrimp skewers for a change. There was no meat in sight, actually. It was mostly a seafood party.
We had a lot of grilled salmon and tuna. There were also grilled squids in there. But the ones I truly loved the most were her grilled shrimp skewers.
They tasted really good. She squeezed lime on them and added some spices. They had a bit of spiciness in them, but they were not too hot.
She grilled them just fine. The shrimp were still soft and very moist when you chew on them. She served the skewers with yellow rice and a few roasted vegetables. It was one heck of a good grilling afternoon for everyone!
