My Great Grandma’s Banana Cake Recipe – It’s Slow Cooker Delicious!

Banana cake.  One of my favorite ways to enjoy a banana.

I know, I know it does not have any bit of nutritional value if I stick my bananas in a cake full of flour, sugar, and lots of other goodness that is not one bit healthy.  But I cannot help it.  This is the best way to enjoy a banana.  I mean, if I want to add even more banana flavor, I usually slice up a banana and put it on top of a slice of cake.  That is better right?

I know, there is no substitution for a real banana, but I will be honest and say, there is also no substitution for a really good cake.  And after working as a cake baker for many years making birthday, wedding and big event cakes, I know a good cake when I see one.  This recipe here is a keeper.  Not only is it totally delicious and have all the flavors of classic banana bread, but the whole cake is made inside of a Crock Pot.  Say what? I know, it is totally crazy, but it is true! This cake is unlike any other I have ever tried and I would gladly have this at my birthday anytime!
