Grandma Cozie’s Cottage Pear Salad – A Vintage Delight

Grandma used to make this yummy pear salad for her and grandpa’s lunch on Saturday afternoons.

My family and I lived just 2 blocks from grandma and grandpa’s house so guess who’d wander over just in time to eat? Me! It didn’t matter if I had already eaten my lunch or supper food always tasted better at grandma’s house. Plus, if grandma was serving a meal you weren’t getting out of there unless she fed you. That’s just how grandma was. Anyway, she’d often make this cottage pear salad and I loved it.

I once asked my grandma where she learned to make her famous cottage pear salad and she told me the recipe came from an issue of Ladies Home Journal. Talk about vintage!

I bet your curiosity is piqued about this recipe, yes? Flip on over to the next page for the yummy details!

Quick Tip: Feel free to use any brand of cottage cheese that you fancy but I found that breakstone’s works best.
