Get Your Buns Ready. We’re Having Salmon Patties!

Well, during their BBQ, Anne dropped by really quickly with a salmon burger for me to try.  I was so excited, and absolutely loved it.  I am telling you, this was incredibly delicious and I had never tried anything like it at all! I knew I would be making these more on my own at home, so I went out, bought the ingredients and had them ready by the time my family got home.  Let me tell you, they were a hit!

Check out what our friends over at Blessed Beyond Crazy had to say about this:

“My husband enjoys a great salmon steak seasoned with Cajun Seasoning. However, I enjoy mine with just a hint of Himalayan Pink Crystal Sea Salt and freshly squeezed lemon juice.”

Ahh, I love them either way! Simply amazing!

Ingredients

1 can (14.75 ounce) salmon, drained

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 cup Panko dry bread crumbs

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoon Land O’ Lakes butter

Instructions

Combine all ingredients together and shape into patties.

Brown in skillet in a little extra virgin olive oil; about 6 minutes on each side.

Serve plain or on buns with lettuce. (I always double the recipe because these are wonder as leftovers!)

No cleaning. If you want you can remove the bones with a fork. When you slide it out of the can, seperate half of it to get to the center where you will find all the bones. I knowany who do not remove them because they are soft and you won’t notice them after cooking. I know they are they and always remove them… lol

I usually do take out the black skin but leave the bones. But my mom used everything in the can except for one large vein that she would pick out.

you drain the salmon in the can….pour out ..and then using your hands split it long ways and you will see all the little bones…and be able to scoop them all out at once….and no i don’t’ remove skin….i add crackers/drop of milk/ diced onion (sm. amt) celery same as onion..one egg…..and mix all together and form patties…

I was wondering the same thing about the butter, is the butter to make it taste better or a bonding mode ???? Thank You Barbara
