French Silk Pie And Old Romantic Courting Ways

I don’t like admitting it, but one of the most romantic stories that’s special to me was my parent’s story. And while I am eating a slice of this delectable French silk pie that my mom just made yesterday, I will tell you the story. My mom came from a well-to-do family. So my grandmother and my grandfather were a bit strict. It so happened that she was also the eldest, which made it more difficult.

All of their expectations were poured down on her and most of the guys during that time were afraid to express their interest in her. My dad came from a middle-class family from another town. He worked for his cousins so he could finance his college fees. Mom was his neighbor.

And he said that the first time he saw her, he already fell in love. My Mom said it wasn’t hard for her to fall in love back because my father did something no other man had ever done—he went to my Mom’s house and expressed his desire to court her.

While it was true that during that time my grandparents weren’t pleased, they still admired my father’s bravery. He was the only one who had the guts to admit his feelings to my mother’s parents. And well, his bravery paid off, didn’t it?
