My husband isn’t a fan of stewed tomatoes so I blended ours making it more into a soup than a stew. The kids liked to put crackers in theirs to soak up all the flavorful juices. The leftovers kept well and we finished them up the next day. Saved me a trip to the grocery store!
I have even made this with leftover chicken instead of ground beef. It still turns out yummy and moist. Putting it in the crock pot lets us eat whenever we have time because we’re not always on the same schedule.
Ingredients
2 1/2 lb ground beef
2 onions
2 can(s) Hunt’s stewed tomatoes, 15 oz
1 can(s) beef bouillon, canned
1 can(s) V-8 juice, 46 oz
1/2 medium cabbage head, chopped
2 potatoes, diced
salt and pepper, to taste
celery salt, to taste
Instructions
Brown burger with onions in a 5-quart Dutch oven.
Add other ingredients.
Simmer until potatoes and cabbage are cooked.

Quick Tip: You could also do this in a slow cooker if you cook the meat first. Remember, you can personalize this soup to fit your tastes. Add in whatever veggies and meats that you want.
