“Everything But The Kitchen Sink” Soup

It was that time of the week, we didn’t have much left of the groceries I picked up the week before, and we needed to have dinner still.

It was one of those eat out or stay in and see what I can come up with kind of nights. There was a storm brewing outside so we weren’t really excited about the thought of traveling anywhere. I told my family to just hold on and I would see what I could come up with.

I did a quick search for easy recipes and came across this one. It was definitely the answer I was looking for. We buy our ground beef in large quantities so that’s almost always on hand.

The rest was simple. We actually didn’t have any cabbage so I left that out and threw in green beans, canned corn, and carrots. It really made for a great soup.

Everyone in my family enjoyed it, even though there really wasn’t much to it. I served it with a side of cornbread and it felt like we had just ate at Grandma’s house. I’ll keep this recipe on file for those hard to come by dinner nights in the future!
