Easy Breakfast Casserole – This One Is A Lifesaver!

My family is crazy about breakfast casseroles. To be honest with you, so am I! There isn’t a better way to start your day than having a tasty, hearty breakfast.

I’m not one of those people who can just have a cup of coffee and get going. Oh no – I definitely need something to eat, or I’ll become a monster! Seriously, you don’t want to deal with me when I’m hungry.

But every single mommy knows how it is sometimes. Mornings can get a little crazy! And if you’re trying to cook a fancy breakfast you just may end up losing your mind.

Fortunately, I have found the perfect solution. Breakfast casseroles! It doesn’t take much preparation even if you do the whole thing in the morning, but I’ve come to know my family.

Something ALWAYS comes up and we end up rushing to the car, without eating, just to get to school and work on time. So I usually prepare this in the evening, and throw it in the oven first thing in the morning.

Quick Tip: If you know you’re going to have a busy morning, prepare this ahead in the evening, refrigerate and throw it in the oven when you wake up. You may need to adjust the baking time a little.

WHy do you layer things, and the stir in the grits? Also, have you tried frying the sausage by crumbling the patties and frying it broken up? Cooks faster.
