Dippin’ Zippy Cabbage Fritters

I always plant a nice big garden in the summer. Come time to harvest, for some reason I always have way too much cabbage. I love the stuff, but it’s nearly impossible to get rid of. We don’t have any animals that eat it so it usually ends up in the compost pile, which is extremely disappointing. No matter how much I try to get my kids to try it, they just aren’t interested. That was until I found this recipe on Recipe Lion.

I decided I wasn’t going to tell them what was in it and just have them try it. They of course love the deep fried taste and tangy dipping sauce.

When I did finally tell them what it was, they didn’t believe me.

After some convincing and showing of evidence, they were amazed at the taste that came out of that despised head of cabbage.

We won’t have to worry about throwing cabbage away anymore I guess.
