If You Liked Her Then You Should’ve Made Her Rice Pudding

This Dessert Beats Going On A Date – True Story!

Have you ever been on a blind date? I haven’t. To be honest with you, I didn’t really go through a dating phase at all. My husband and I were high school sweethearts so I guess we both missed the whole ordeal of going on dates with strangers. I do understand a date can turn into a wonderful evening and a true, life-long love story. But it may just as well be just the opposite!

A friend of mine went on a blind date her cousin had arranged. She wasn’t too excited about it, but not against the idea, either. She did realize early on her date was definitely not the perfect match for her, but they had a nice evening and “the food was incredibly delicious”.

This recipe reminded me of my friend’s blind date. Why, you ask? That friend of mine said she would rather just make rice pudding and eat the whole thing on her own, than go on a blind date again!

Quick tip: I like to serve this with a bit of ground cinnamon!

stove top I have always added milk in at beginning, long grain riice a pinch of salt, cook about 45 min or until rice is fluffy and water absorbed and abouta minut before removing add nutmeg, vanilla and sugar according to taste. works great. cooking time is dependent on type of rice, I use brown rice for the nutty flavour natural type and takes some longer.
