My little five-year-old boy was soon going to be six.
We were planning his birthday party, and he overheard us talking about what we were going to have to eat. Traditionally, I take the easy route and do takeout pizza or sandwiches. This year he was a big boy though, and he didn’t want that. He wanted cheeseburgers. I thought about getting takeout hamburgers, but that would be expensive. Instead, I decided that I was going to make my own cheeseburgers at home.
I didn’t want to make full-size versions for the kids that were coming because I knew they were going to go to waste. That’s when I found this recipe on Facebook for cheeseburger sliders.
I knew that my son would love them, and that’s all that mattered. They went together pretty easily, and they were surprisingly simple to make.
They were a huge hit among all my boy’s friends too. I’m sure these will be on the menu for many more parties to come!
