Deeply Delicious Double Crust Chicken Pot Pie – Not For Light Eaters

The first time I ever had a chicken pot pie was at my Grandma’s house.

It seemed like she had spent hours in the kitchen preparing that meal for us. She made the crust from scratch, cooked up fresh meat, and used all fresh vegetables. It was the most delicious thing that I had ever tasted. I never made it at home though, because honestly, I just didn’t have the time.

Grandma stayed at home all day, I have a full-time job. One day, the craving for a good pot pie hit, and I went on the search. I found this recipe at Facebook and it seemed easy enough.

We even had leftover chicken breast already in the fridge so step 1 was complete. In less than an hour I was serving my family a mouthwatering pot pie like I had never seen before. They all sat down and ate it right up.

The pie tin was practically wiped clean. The greatest thing was, all of this was done so quickly. It was just like making any regular meal.

I started cooking at five and dinner was on the table by six, per usual. We will definitely be having this many more times. It’s so simple!
