Crunchy Panko Salmon: A family Favorite

This dish has an onslaught of flavors going on despite it being one simple recipe. There’s that crunchy texture because of the panko and there’s also that hint of sweetness because of the honey. They just go so well with salmon, a fish that’s naturally full of flavors! This recipe will surely make everyone’s mouths water. I know my husband sure did enjoy it as well as the kidlets and they don’t generally like fish.

I love anything rolled in panko! I love salmon too because while other fishes tend to get that dry texture when cooked, salmon doesn’t. It remains moist and soft, and oh so flavorful! This one is something that I will place on my list of favorite dishes.

Ingredients

4 Salmon fillets

1.5 Tbsp Heinz Dijon mustard

1.5 Tbsp Trader Joe’s Honey

1 Clove of Minced Garlic

3/4 Cup Panko Crumbs

1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs (Italian Herb mix or Herbs de Provence)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 F. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.

Whisk together mustard, honey and garlic.

In a shallow dish, combine panko bread crumbs, herbs, and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Mix.

Brush the top of a salmon with honey mustard mixture.

Dredge the honey mustard side of the salmon through the panko mixture.

Brush remaining side of salmon with honey mustard mix, then flip it and coat it in the panko.

Place each coated salmon, side by side in your greased baking pan.

Bake for 13-15 minutes until salmon is flaky and serve!
